Santa in punch-up horror

Headline spotted at lunch: Santa and three elves punched in Lapland.

(slightly) closer inspection reveals that the Lapland in question wasn't the real one, but a fake.

Which still leaves the question, what was Santa doing in a fake Lapland to begin with?

Either way, I suspect someone's going to get a switch in his stocking.

I'm trying to decide whether you mean by this that

a) despite being neither squeaky nor irritating they nevertheless deserve punching or

b) although they are squeaky and irritating, punching them would prove unwise...

They go beyond squeaky and irritating, they are hideous beyond belief, and why small children don't burst into tears on seeing them is beyond comprehension.
