What to do today, what to do?

We were tossing up between going back to Slimbridge to look for ducks while the autumn migration is in full swing, or going over to Dyrham, to see if the deer are doing impressive "It's autumn, let's rut!" type behaviours.

But since it's a gloriously sunny day, we've actually settled on staying at home waiting for the engineer who didn't fix anything yesterday to come back.

Commiserations.

I believe my brother is using the sunshine to sit out in the freezing cold in order to make the new shed roof watertight. At least you are indoors ;)

As am I as I didn't fancy rollercoasters.

He turned up at about lunchtime, so we were able to get out to Dyrham in the afternoon, and had a mooch around the deer park and gardens. It being a lovely crisp clear day, the view from the top of the hill was particularly good, all the way to the Brecon Beacons.
