We've just exchanged contracts!  We're selling the old house on the 21st, and buying the new one on the 28th.  And then we can start unpacking books and returning to what passes for normality in the Wellinghall household.

Exchanging contracts is very satisfying - by the time I exchanged contracts on my flat the process had been dragging on so long that it barely registered as a significant event...
